It’s like hanging out with your best friends for a real and often ridiculous conversation while at the same time learning something new. Inanimate Objects Don't Have Pronouns!
Even after 49 years Cindy and Sarah have a lot to learn about equality. Feminism? Gender bias? A lot of things. In this episode they chat about Alexa, Siri, Cortana and the rest of their friends. They get into the fact that any type of technology that takes orders is a female voice/name, some of the reasons this might be and what the origin is, the fact that inanimate objects like cars and boats are all referred to as "she" and where this comes from, and how this is affecting and perpetuating stereotypes amongst the people using these "assistants". Sometimes this can all be quite overwhelming so they thought they'd keep this week's drink simple...join them to find out!
